This is a print of Camree's name that I won from an online giveaway. (I entered three.) I got the first 5 letters free, then paid $5 to get the last 'e' so her name was spelled correctly. I got it Sunday night (the artist lives near me and dropped it by instead of mailing it), and I love it. I had one similar in idea in my room growing up and have loved it. Similar because mine is not out of flowers, but kids wearing winter clothes and my name is all capital letters. I am now on the hunt to find a frame and the perfect place in Camree's room!!
The other two online giveaway prizes were a quiet book (I would not have purchased it had I not won it), and a photo session. I am thrilled about the photo session, as we haven't had her pictures taken professionally yet, and we can get our first family photos done for nothing! It also comes with a free 8 x 10 and a free 5 x 10 collage, as well as a CD. I am in the process of scheduling the session. Finding coordinating clothing on a budget can be somewhat of a challenge, but one I am up to!
We have had lots of visitors who have loved on Camree, and she is currently working on tooth number 2, so hopefully I can update with pictures soon!
We have been doing a lot of growing here lately! Camree had her four month appointment and her doctor said we could start encouraging her to sleep through the night, that her night-time feeding was more like a snack and she could survive without it. We made the change and haven't looked back! We were going to wait to put her in her crib to encourage that, but we started while she was still in the cradle. That lasted 2 nights (in her cradle) before we were all exhausted. On the third night of trying to sleep through the night, we moved her in her crib. She woke up like normal, I went in her room, but didn't let her see me, and listened to what she would do. She found her two trusty fingers, began sucking on them and went back to sleep. She hasn't had a problem since! We love it, and she wakes up in a great mood each morning (at about 6:30).
Outgrown her cradle finally, this was the last night she slept in it.
I made Bella an apron for her birthday and needed a model. Camree volunteered.

We can't help but enjoy her presence and are blessed to have her with us. She has grown so much in the last month!
At 5 months, Camree likes:

At 5 Months, Camree dislikes:
Camree has one tooth currently. I feel like a bad Mom because I didn't know, but she hasn't changed while she's working on her tooth. She still doesn't cry much, still sleeps well, smiles, talks, and laughs a lot, is really flexible, and just enjoys life with us. I tried getting pictures, but she loves the camera and tries to help me take pictures so I couldn't get anything. She is getting so big, and we love her so much.

She is tall and skinny. I knew that, but her stats confirmed it.
Height - 25 3/4" and she is in the 93%
Weight - 13 lbs. 5 oz and she is only in the 42%
Her head is measuring in the 60th percentile, but they didn't write it down and I don't remember what it was exactly.
She got the same round of shots as her 2 month appointment, and she liked is about the same (not at all). She cried so hard, but I did the same thing as last time and fed her right afterwards and moved and massaged her legs while I was feeding her. She didn't have any problems with soreness in her legs, her temperature just barely got in the low 90's, and she was still her pleasant self. She still has eczema, but it is getting better, as is her cradle cap.
We can start her on solids any time, but we are going to wait until she is giving us signs of needing it. Why mess with what works?

Camree is growing so fast! We sure do enjoy her fun personality and hope that we all continue to have fun!

Lately, this is a normal morning. Abbie always sleeps down by my knees/feet, right up next to me. Camree was having trouble going back to sleep, so she was cuddling next to me (I know she's hard to see, but she's there.), and Lily doesn't want to be left out and usually cuddles next to me, but settled for cuddling next to Camree.
Bella came to visit and shared her shoes.
These last three photos are from the same photo shoot, and since she's getting a lot more active and notices things a lot more, she's interacting with the mosquito! Above, Corey's favorite.

At 4 months, Camree likes:

- Being swaddled (a new development)
- Her cradle cap (I don't blame her)

She doesn't know what the cats are yet, and sometimes tries to follow them with her eyes. It's more they tolerate her, she tolerates them. We go in tomorrow for her 4 month check-up and shots, so I'll have stats later on this week to post. I think she'll weigh about 13 pounds, but we'll see tomorrow. She is starting to really like her fingers, sometimes more than her binky, and so she breaks out of nearly every swaddle we try to put her in. A real Houdini, so we are trying to put her down with just a blanket on top of her. It's a work in progress, but so far we have been able to put her in her cradle still awake and she'll go to sleep herself. It might take more patience on our part, but it's worth it if she can continue to sooth herself and put herself to sleep.
I need to start transitioning her to her crib, but we are getting new windows before the end of the month so to avoid the chaos, we are waiting to put her in her own room until then. I still haven't finished her window coverings, and don't want to hang them when we are just going to have to remove them.
She doesn't know who Bella is yet either, but Bella sure loves her. We love Bella so it all works out! Bella loves her Uncle Buddy (she can't say Corey and that's what it sounds like, although she is getting closer!) and is very attached to him.
We have a few videos that I hope to edit and get on here before the end of the week. They range all the way back to her first month.
On a funny note, I just answered my phone and it was her doctor's office confirming her appointment for tomorrow. The nurse asked, "Is Camree there?" Yes, but she's just going to breathe into the phone, you still want to talk to her?

Doing sit-ups. She's growing so fast!! I'll find her sleeping in her carseat after running errands with me, and she's slumped over because she leaned forward.
Not fond of tummy time, but I encourage (make) her every day so she can hold her head up and crawl eventually.
Lounging in her Bumbo. I love this chair!! We sit her in it up on the table (watched closely) while we eat so she is a part of our conversations at mealtimes. She loves it for about 15 minutes and then she's tired. She still had cradle cap in this picture. We learned that socks stay on much better than mittens, and they keep her from scratching her head (she's good) and drawing blood. She only has a little lingering cradle cap at the crown of her head.Frustrations I have had so far: Cradle cap. Not pretty, but not terrible either. I got so frustrated because of the many contradictory information that is out there. Friends, family, internet, doctors. They each have their own way of treating ailments, while we as parents just keep trying one treatment after another. Camree got to the point that she would scratch in the middle of the night, and I woke up to so many scratches on the side of her head that I had had enough! I made an appointment (had many conversations with a nurse in her ped's office prior to this.) and we followed what her doctor said, and we are on the mend. She is so much happier! She has never really been a crier, but we can tell she's much more at ease. Happy baby = happy parents!
I have a fear that the problem of contradictory information will follow us forever now. We just do our homework as best as we can and make a decision based on what we think is best for us and Camree.
At three months, Camree likes:

As I write this,
I am once again realizing how blessed we are. She really is so pleasant and easy to care for (as well as love). She isn't unhappy with life often, and just adapts easily to what is going on in her busy parent's lives.
My new age. My dad asked me if I could remember how old I was. I told him, no problem, and then asked him if he could remember his own age. He still could. Impressive, isn't it?
I had a great day, being woken up by Camree's cooing. I relaxed some, went to visit a friend, and then Corey and I went out to eat at Pei Wei Asian Dining and Coldstone Creamery. We had never eaten at Pei Wei and it was affordable and delicious, with large servings. I had a free Like It birthday coupon at Coldstone, and of course had to use it. Sorry, we left our camera at home and didn't capture anything at all.
One of my highlights of the day was being called and sung to by my brother and his cute family. They moved to Washington DC, and just had a new baby girl two weeks ago. Their son, Carson, is nearly 3 and such a smart guy! After they sung to me, he said, "Happy Birthday Liz!!" I responded and said, "Carson, you're so smart." He then replied (no hesitation at all), "Yes, I am." The adults in the conversation started laughing. He also said that he would see me tomorrow night, which unfortunately for me is not true. Miss that little guy, that's for sure!!

I love all my nieces and nephews, and wish we could all live closer to each other, but I am sure going to grasp any moment I have with them whenever I get to see them. Current tally - 3 nephews and 4 nieces. Grandparent total - 8 grandkids, 3 boys and 5 girls.

We were originally told she was 21.3 in. long when she was born, but we have gotten a few different measurements, some of them shorter than 21", some longer, so we don't really have an exact, but 21" is on the doctor's office report. I love our doctor's office, as they give me a print out of her key measurements at each stage, not just the most current ones.
I took her in to get her shots, and it was so hard. The doctor said he doesn't give the shots so that he is still liked by the kids, and when the nurse came in to give them, she was happily sucking on her binky, waiting patiently for her next feeding (anytime Mom). We gave her the liquid one first, and then she got poked three times in the leg. The nurse warned me that moms usually cry on the first set of shots as well as the infants, but I didn't. I was so worried about her that I didn't get upset with her. She sure was mad! It was hard to hear, and her cry was full of anger and pain, which (luckily) I hadn't heard that kind before. Total, it lasted no more than 10 seconds, but she didn't cry for just that long. The nurse said that I could nurse her in the office as they didn't need that room for awhile, and so we were both able to cuddle and I was able to console her without feeling rushed out. I honestly think it helped her, not just calm down, but she didn't get a fever or get cranky the rest of that day, or even the following day. While I nursed her, I also moved her legs around so that the medication didn't just sit in her muscles, making it hard and painful for her later. We were slightly more careful with her poor legs all day, but she never acted in pain at all.
Lesson learned: Nurse her right after her shots and massage and move her legs around while nursing her. No sickness and no pain in her legs. Great first experience, but still not looking forward to the next one!

Cutest gift we ever received!!
I was given clothes from a friend and in it was this Halloween onesie. It fit her, so I dressed her in this wild and crazy outfit for the day. Trick or Treat anyone?
She found her fingers, and most of the time is not quite able to get some in to actually suck on, but she found these two. Sometimes she tries to put both hands in her mouth. We are really encouraging her to use the binky!

We have really been enjoying this sweet little baby girl. Camree is such a joy and an easy baby. Patience really does pay off in the long run!!! Be ready for picture overload. We took Camree to a University of Utah Women's Basketball game and Gymnastic Meet, but neglected to get pictures. She has also enjoyed the Hogle Zoo this month.
Camree loves to smile, and has added cooing to it. She's talking to the angels here.

We are lucky and can just put her in her cradle wide awake, but sleepy and she'll go to sleep herself. I heard her moving around quite a bit through the monitor, so I went to check on her. My first thought was where is she? 
I uncovered her, and there she was, just about 6 inches further down from where I had laid her! I don't know how she did it, but it sure was funny. The monkey is supposed to offer her comfort because it smells like me. I think she was moving so much because she was covered. Funny girl! When I was an infant, my mom would put me at one end of the crib, and in the middle of the night, would hear my head hit the other end of the crib and she would go move me back down. Camree is moving the opposite way, and on her back!

Camree was blessed on Feb 7th, but we forgot to take pictures that day. This is a week later. Corey and I didn't like any of the blessing outfits available for purchasing, so a week before, we went to JoAnne's and purchased fabric and ribbons and I made it. The ribbons are pewter and pink. Simple and sweet. Not shown are the cute crocheted shoes my good friend, Nancy made for her.

It was fun, and there was another group of three people that were crazy enough to hike it too. On our way down, we passed yet another group. I am sure in warmer, more dry weather, it's much more popular!

She is such a talker, and in a good mood most of the time. She keeps scratching herself with her claws, even though I trim her nails. Thank goodness for mittens!

We got home one day from running errands, and both felines had decided they could fit in the chair together. They don't think anything is wrong with sleeping there. 
She sure is happy to be 2 months old! We love the mosquito for reference too. Camree looks so much like her daddy here. Well, he always wanted a daddy's girl!!
